Around the Grounds 2016 US Open - Day 14Boaters attending the US Open at the Billy Jean King National Tennis Center have an advantage over those traveling by rail or car — they beat the double faults of traffic and parking!

While other fans may be worn out by the time they reach the gates, boaters will be relaxed and ready to cheer for the world’s most prestigious tennis players (appearances are not confirmed at press time).

The tournament begins Monday, August 28 and concludes Sunday, September 10. While any day is better by boat, the N.Y. Mets are at home the last seven days of the Open, so give yourself a break from mind-numbing traffic and parking that might be near the marina anyway.

Angelique Kerber vs Petra KvitovaTransient space is available at the World’s Fair Marina. Call 718-478-0480 or, if outside of New York City, 212-NEW-YORK. The marina monitors VHF channel 71; reservations are suggested.

Should your favorite athletes lose, you’ll still be able to rally. Fans love all the dining choices and shopping experiences on the grounds, making everyone a winner.
