Port Washington HarborFest Craft Fair
It’s the 24th year for Port Washington’s HarborFest Craft Fair. It takes place on Sunday, June 1 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering boatloads of fun things for all ages to do at the town dock by lower Main Street and Mill Pond.
Activities include musical entertainment, a model boat regatta, craft fair offerings, environmental and nautical exhibits, and art in the park. Watch the fireboat demonstration in the harbor, take out a kayak, ride a water taxi on Manhasset Bay, and cruise aboard SoundWaters, a three-masted schooner. Local area restaurants will be serving tasty dishes, and the food court willhave lots of appetizing offerings.
There are 20 free mooring balls offered by the Town of North Hempstead on a first-come, first-served basis.Manhasset Bay offers good grounding for anchoring; for transport to the town dock, hail the Port Washington Water Taxi on VHF channel 9 or call 516-767-1691.
