Fireworks by boat
July 1, 2010 by Boating Times · 4 Comments
Lights, action and boat! While some of the traditional big fireworks are on hold this year there are still plenty of great places to take your boat to experience fireworks from the water.
Nothing lights up the summer sky like a spectacular fireworks display and watching them from your boat only adds to the fun and excitement. Here’s a list of fireworks celebrations that can be viewed by boat. Check your current charts, and get there early to ensure a good spot to anchor. Keep clear of any Coast Guard designated security/safety zones. Obviously you’ll be enjoying these displays after the sun goes down, so make sure you are comfortable operating your vessel at night and keep a keen eye out for other boaters. Be safe and enjoy the show!
Watching fire works from your boat is one of the coolest things to do with your boat. However, please remember to stay at least ¼ mile away and up wind from where the fire works are being discharged. Also, don’t anchor in a channel.

Great list!! :)
Thanks in part to you!
Are the East End fireworks visible from Gurneys? Or do you have to be on a boat to enjoy them?
Sorry–your comment popped up late. Lucky our list goes past Independence Day!
We were listing fireworks visible from the water, but it stands to reason there will plenty of places on land to look as well.
