Thanksgiving may usher in the holiday season’s delectable treats, but the next day is even more festive as the jingling bells and twinkling lights burst forth across the water.

The Annual Huntington Harbor Parade of Lights takes place on Friday, November 24 at 6:00 pm. This is a marvelous fundraising pageant for the boating participants who glide past cheering spectators in all types of dazzlingly illuminated boats.

The vessels (and participating shoreline homes) compete for prizes as well as the roaring approval of the crowds lining Huntington Harbor. Viewing locations include the parking lot behind the Halesite Fire Department and Gold Star Battalion Beach. Local restaurants, businesses, and residents also host viewing parties, so check the parade website for the sponsors who support the Lighthouse’s fundraising efforts.
